The Secretary General for the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), Mrs. Fatma Samoura led a delegation from FIFA for a one day visit to South Sudan on Friday.
The delegation was here to update the government on the impression of Women football across South Sudan.
Mrs. Fatma Samoura said her visit to South Sudan is to engage the government to support women football. “We will also meet the minister concern to discuss the level of government support to improve women football and also how we can support the South Sudan Football Association to review women football strategy” Fatma Said.
Meanwhile the president of South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Mr. Augustino Maduot welcomed and expressed his gratefulness to the world football board for its unwavering support to the Country.
Maduot stated that South Sudan Football Association SSFA is prioritizing the improvement of women’s football through capacity building in order to upgrade their capabilities in Football management sector.
He said women should also take part in the leadership of the South Sudan Football Association, adding that the current SSFA Board of Directors is consist of three women representative.
Mrs. Fatma Samoura and the accompanying delegation also inspected the ongoing rebuilding of Juba football stadium on Friday.
